A Note From Us

Hi,

Welcome to your first day at Old School. Think of this note as our "about us" section. I am officially the unofficial Principal of Old School, "Principal Amy". My husband Matt is a current tenant or what I call a "student" of mine, as he is in one of the professional office spaces that we created where he and his amazing team work everyday. Also, our English Bulldog, Vito, has officially been introduced as school Mascot!

Matt and I have a healthcare background and worked as nurses for many years in a variety of arenas. We decided to work for ourselves when our kids Kyah and Nico grew older and more independent. When Matt decided to move his office closer to our home in Oconomowoc, I started looking for spaces that would fit his needs. With my love of real estate, and the beauty of this 1913 brick schoolhouse, we felt blessed to have an opportunity to preserve the past while creating a future.

I had a vision for the old schoolhouse that had sat vacant after many years of different school occupancies. Matt's first statement/question was, "I need office space for 6 employees, what are we going to do with an entire school and gym?" Like I said, I had a vision, so after a little creative convincing and 2 years of a purchase process and remodeling work (many thanks go out to everyone who worked on this project with us), we finally got to move Matt's business into the original 2 room schoolhouse area of the school.

We were now official. We were owners of a schoolhouse without traditional schooling. Our plan? To me, it was simple. Our "students" are the community.

We offer two types of "schooling". The first "boarding school" option is where we provide for long-term professional office space for lease. The second, is a daily part-time schooling where we designed a unique, community space for "students" to learn through hourly/daily rentals to host their own classes they create in many subject areas.

We strive to allow for experiences that are safe, fun, and memorable in an arts and recreation networking venue that works well for work or play.

Bring your ideas and help us to keep adding to our creative use list for this space!

We have created what we hope you will find as a "notable" space to utilize and share with others for your next event.
